Here’s our story…

Devin and I met at high school.  We were also memebers of the same church.  Long story short, we started dating June 19, 2000 (the summer after my sophomore and his junior year of high school.)  Devin graduated in 2001 and went to the College of Charleston.  I graduated in 2002 and went to USC.  October 17, 2003 Devin proposed.  We were married July 17, 2004.   2007_0127house00213During the first two years of our marriage, we were both in graduate school.

In March of 2007 we bought our first house and got our two sweet cats, Roscoe and Daisy.

Devin is a math instructor at Midlands Technical College and I teach math at Lexington High School.  August 31, 2008 is a Sunday morning we will never forget…we found out we were pregnant!  We went to the doctor and everything looked great.  Then, there came another fun surprise – on November 4, 2008 we had a regular appointment with the doctor.  We heard the heartbeat and thought we were ready to go.  The doctor told us she wanted to do a quick ultrasound.  Well, I immediately started thinking the worst.  Devin asked if everything was ok and she said yes and then left.  After she left I almost started crying yet Devin got a big grin on his face.  He said, “maybe there’s more than one in there!”  I definitely disagreed.  Boy was I wrong!  The second she put the ultrasound on my tummy, we saw two little babies!  January 7, 2009 we went for another ultrasound and found out we are having a boy and a girl!  Charles Devin (Charlie) and Anna Claire were originally due May 10, 2009 (my birthday) but because we are having twins, they will only let us go to 38 weeks which moves our date to April 26, 2009.  We’ll keep you updated on their progress.  Please keep us all in your prayers and thanks for checking in!
