A, B, C, D, E, F

My friend Cortney had an idea to have an Alphabet theme this summer.  Each week we are focusing on 2 different letters.  We are doing crafts, reading Bible stories, eating snacks, and doing other fun activites that start with that week’s letters.  Here is a recap of our first 3 weeks:

A/B:  we were Artists and used markers to color pictures of astronauts and a car going on an adventure.  We ate animal crackers one morning after breakfast!  We read about Adam and Eve and Noah and the Ark and we watched Aladdin.  Then we went to the beach!  We used water color paints to paint pictures of a beach bunny and a ball.

C/D:  We used crayons to color pictures of cats and practiced cutting.  We enjoyed reading about the Very Hungry Caterpillar at Chick-fil-a storytime!  One night after dinner we went for a stroll through the neighborhood to collect things…we found rocks, flowers, leaves and more!  We read about Daniel in the Lion’s Den and watched Dumbo!  We also did stuff with Daddy for Father’s day and decorated pictures of donuts with stickers.

E/F: We read about Jacob and Esau in our Bible.  They were twins too!  We colored pictures of eggs and an elephant.  I got them eggs with silly putty in them at the Dollar Tree and they had a blast! We read books about frogs at storytime and used finger paint to paint pictures of fish and frogs.  We played in our froggy pool one night after dinner.  We watched Franklin and Friends.

Every week we review our letters and last Sunday the kids could recognize all and write most of these 6 letters.  It is so much fun to watch them learn! Here they are practicing writing their letters on the windows.  🙂
