Easter 2013

When we are in the car, if we listen to music it is either one of the kids’ cd’s or WMHK.  Their favorite song on the radio is “God’s Not Dead” by the Newsboys.  Their favorite line to sing is “MY GOD’S NOT DEAD HE’S SURELY ALIVE HE’S LIVING ON THE INSIDE ROARING LIKE A LION!”  I type this in all caps because I’m not sure if they sing it or scream it. 🙂   Anyways, this Easter it was amazing how much they understood about why we celebrate Easter.

Here are some pictures of some of the fun things we did with family and friends:

We helped Granny and Papa decorate a tree with eggs:winn egg tree  We went to our annual egg hunt at Mrs. Elizabeth’s house (yeah, that basket they are holding is the same one they both fit in during their first Easter while still in the NICU) [to see pics of that click here]: eb egg hunt We had a playdate at Mrs. Kim’s house…they did crafts, ate a snack, played in her super cool playroom, and hunted eggs:kim easter  We dyed eggs at our house. The potential mess stresses me out every year…but they had fun! 🙂  The bottom right picture is of the baskets they made at school for their egg hunt: dye eggs We went to church dressed in our best. 🙂 baskets Here they are in front of our egg tree!our egg tree We ate dinner and hunted eggs at Nana and Grandpa’s house on Saturday:nana easter  We ate dinner and hunted eggs at Granny and Papa’s house on Sunday.  Here AC and Charlie are with Gracie, Granny, Papa, and their great-grandparents:granny easter

We sure do love spending time with family and friends.  But most of all we love God and are thankful that He sent Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice!  Praise the Lord!
