Summer Adventures – Week 4

Every morning this week was pretty much filled up with Vacation Bible School.  I think back to when I was a kid and I have so many great memories of VBS so I hope my kiddos will too!  I led a rising 1st grade class with 2 others and we had a super time!   Here are a few pictures of our room, music time, snacks, and craft time.vbs room me vbsmel vbs

Other things we did in the afternoons/evenings….Monday Anna Claire had gymnastics practice and Devin took Charlie to play at the arcade at Flight Deck. c arcade Tuesday Charlie’s tball practice was cancelled so Devin took us to the candy store then we enjoyed dinner at McAlister’s with our friends, the Perkins. 🙂  When we got home Charlie played ball outside with several of the neighbors and Anna Claire and I colored with chalk.perkins mcalac chalk  Wednesday we went back to VBS for a Christmas party.  It was fun!  (We collected items for Operation Christmas Child as the service project this year.) vbs xmas Thursday night Mommy played bunco with some friends so daddy took the kids out to Subway and then to play at the mall.  Friday we joined Nana and Grandpa and Parker for dinner then headed to Gibson pond.  The geese still weren’t there so we fed the fish and visited the waterfall.feed fish  Saturday Charlie had his tball game.  Daddy treated us to lunch at Bellacinos.  After nap we enjoyed some Kona Ice. YUM!  The rest of the night was relaxing at home. tball 3 gamekona ice Sunday we went to church and we all took a nap at home. 🙂  After nap the kids went outside to play and we found a turtle!  Cool huh?  turtleThen they headed to our neighbor’s house for a sweet treat.  Mrs. Denise is gonna spoil these kiddos with the icecream this summer!  Charlie played a little baseball with the boys and Anna Claire danced around and played with their dog.  You can tell from Charlie’s shirt that the icecream was yummy. chloechocolate c Last but not least, we’ve been doing a little learnin’ around here.  They are both doing great with their math and Anna Claire has officially read her first book, “Biscuit and the Cat.”  I’m so proud of them (and their Daddy who needs most of the credit for teaching them these things.) 🙂 reading
